The one day Control Valves course is largely workshop based, emphasizing the main causes of cavitation, flashing and erosion in Control Valves. The course is intended for those who already have some working knowledge of Control Valves but are looking to heighten their awareness.
This course focuses on the benefits of Direct spring PSV use and an understanding of the theory surrounding their operation, calibration, troubleshooting, overhaul and test procedures. Training includes a workshop-based session and attendees will gain an understanding of relevant terminology and industry standards.
Attendees will be able to identify and operate a range of valve types, spot the early warning signs of any potential problems and test valves to ensure they are functioning correctly. They will understand when and how to apply basic valve maintenance techniques.
This 2 day course is focused on Pilot Operated PSVs and provides advanced knowledge on their design, operation, calibration, troubleshooting, overhaul and test procedures. We also offer a 2 day Direct Spring PSV course and a 3 day combined course that covers both Direct Spring and Pilot Operated PSVs.
Attendees will build a basic awareness of how PSVs operate, their construction, characteristics common applications, operation and basic PSV terminology. They will gain an appreciation for problems that may be encountered in the field.
This two day course focuses on PSV test types and the interpretation of valve data, test specifications and acceptance criteria. Following training, attendees will understand whether a test is accepted or failed, recognise if a test has been sabotaged and will appreciate the consequences of incorrect inspection techniques.
