Tailored Valve Training Solution for Major Utility Company – A Case Study

The Overview
We were approached by a major gas transmission company who wished to equip their service engineers with enhanced knowledge of the products they work with on a day-to-day basis. They sought theoretical and practical sessions on ball valves, plug valves, and actuators, in addition to sealant injection. Ordinarily, training on this would have to be delivered over a minimum of 4 days and possibly by various companies with no continuity of training.

The Solution
These are all standard courses that we deliver so through discussion, we developed a tailored solution that included all key elements and client requirements. Each individual course was reviewed with the client allowing us to develop a bespoke 3 day course based on their needs. Through this review, we also identified the specific types of equipment they utilise in order that the training could accurately reflect real conditions and situations.

As the client had a number of people who were required to go through the training, downtime for these engineers was a major consideration. We were therefore additionally able to deliver this course at the client site minimising disruption to work rotas allowing for the service engineers to get back to their normal duties in a timely manner. The tailored course was run on three occasions within a one month period.
