Score Training have recently attained an esteemed approval from the ECITB (Engineering Construction Industry Training Board); allowing for the delivery of MJI (Mechanical Joint Integrity) 10&19 training:
- MJI10: Hand Torque Bolted Connection Techniques
- MJI19: Hydraulically Torqued Bolted Connection Techniques
The company are also approved by the ECITB as an MJI testing centre.
The Mechanical Joint Integrity courses, based on the ECITB Technical Training Standards, are designed to ensure competence whilst carrying out manual and hydraulic torque tightening of mechanical joint connectors. Hand torque training covers the dismantling, preparation and securing of hand torque bolted connections whilst hydraulically torqued bolted connection training covers the use of powered torque equipment to dismantle, assemble and tighten bolted connections.
The courses are delivered by experienced Score technicians specialising in training. Through training and testing, Score Training will issue ECITB certification to those deemed competent; assuring the employer and customer that critical bolt torqueing is carried out safely and efficiently.
The approval comes as Score Training relocates this month to a newly refurbished facility in Peterhead; allowing for increased training workshop space, enhanced training facilities and state of the art equipment. The move sees the company’s space for hands-on technical training increase from one training workshop to five dedicated workshop training areas – each fitted with fully tooled workbenches and a range of specialist equipment. Equipment includes hydrostatic and gas test cells, a pressure safety valve test cell and a simulated flow-spool; ensuring that Essential Valve Knowledge training and courses such as Actuators, Pressure Safety Valves, Control Valves and Plug Valve Maintenance can be delivered to the highest possible standard, meeting all customer training needs. The increased space will allow several training courses to be run simultaneously; including the newly released MJI 10&19 courses.
Score Training will continue to offer a full range of expert valve training courses from their new facility.
